Wellness Garden

Plan to Get Involved in the

2011 MPCC Wellness Garden

The Wellness Garden on the NPCC South Campus is thriving. The 2010 garden is bustling with tomatoes, peppers, onions, acorn and butternut squash, pumpkins, carrots, and herbs. A new addition this year has been the strawberry patch, with it’s first crop scheduled for spring 2011.

WOW members, novice and seasoned gardeners alike, are encouraged to get involved in the Wellness Garden. Not only is gardening good exercise, but the health benefits of growing your own food, and the sense of accomplishment in doing so, are perks as well.

Produce from the garden will be shared with all MPCC faculty and staff with overflow going to the Lincoln Connection Homeless Shelter and other entities.
