Influenza and Pneumonia Vaccinations

Before we know it, the flu season will be upon us. I know that no one really wants a vaccination, but then again. . .not many of us hope to be visited by the influenza either. The Working on Wellness (WOW) Team has made arrangements for flu shots to be available on both NP Campuses. This effort is in conjunction with the West Central Health District in North Platte. The cost of the flu shot is $30. We are happy to announce the employee cost can be only $15. MPCC will cover $15.00 of this cost for WOW Members. If you plan to get a flu shot but have not yet joined WOW, why not join now for free and save $15? What a bargain!

Participants will need to pay for their shot when it is given; they will accept a check. The college will pay the balance upon invoice and submission of an Immunization Reimbursement Request Form. The WCHD has asked that I give them a count so they can plan accordingly. In an effort to use their time wisely, shots will be available for one hour at each location on Thursday, November 1.

8:15 – 9:30 a.m. – South Campus, Fireplace area
11:15 – 12:30  – North Campus, Student Lounge
